Sim Idol 3: The Final Search of a Superstar
ANYONE BUT THE SI1 and SI2 WINNER CAN AUDITION!
THE SONGWRITING PART OF THE CONTEST IS STILL IN THE WORKS. IT IS A GRADUAL PROCESS IN THE COMPETITION NOT SOMETHING IN ONE SHOT[/i]
Auditions begin October 1, 2006
Season Premiere: June 24, 2007
Judges: It’s confirmed that Steven L., Dean Boudreau, and Charly Timmer will be back for the final season of Sim Idol.
Back-Up Judges: There may be possibilities like Jeanie Carroll, Jake Dee, Ollie Priddey, and others.
How many auditions we are looking for? 70 – 80 auditions
What are we looking for this season? Not only singing ability but songwriting skills and a ton of creativity! Amateur, professional, it doesn’t matter as long if you want to have fun and take a challenge!
The Concept Change:
Basically, the elimination points will be the same. We pick 34 people as the Downtown 34. Then cut 10 into a Downtown 24. Then cut ten one last time to a Top 14 [we split into 2 groups.] From there we get the Final 8 [4 will be chosen from each group]. There will be more creativity as said. We are bringing more things like song-writing, original songs, and covering songs in a whole different way. We really are aiming for you to be individuals who show themselves musically this year, more than ever. It’ll be more like forming a mold, instead of adapting. Will there be themed shows? Of course, but the themes are a bit broader, but it still holds a nice theme for contestants to sing from a range of songs. The concept will feel still like Idol, but a little bit of Star Search, X-factor, Eurovision will be incorporated to make Sim Idol, a concept of its own.
The Set:
Of course, huge set changes! From the auditioning rooms and EA Media Center to the finals set. All will be changed and will be beautiful!
Audition Information:
1. Name, Age, Location
2. Either a picture of you or a good-detailed description [to make the sim]
3. Answer the following questions:
---- Are you absolutely committed into the whole process/series? Will you be truly dedicated? Although Season 2 was great, Season 1 was abysmal w/ dedication of semifinalists.
---- Will you rise up to the new challenges of Sim Idol?
---- Who is your Idol?
---- Did you follow up on Season 1 and 2? If yes, who are your favorites?
---- Do you think you can win? Why?
---- What is your musical past/experience
---- Talk about yourself and your personality [let the audience get to know you]
4. E-mailing details will be revealed on September 20th. I want auditions pouring in on October 1st and beyond, not before.
5. YOUR ACAPELLA SHOULD BE 25-40 SECONDS LONG!!!
