Heather R - Very tough song to sing. And while I dont think it sounded awful, it was very awkward. I dont think it had anything to do with the song selection, but the way you chose to sing it. It was a bit of a forced growl and traditional. Sorry to say, it really didnt work for me.
Erica - Another Jazz classic. And while I feel that this song isnt very produced, you really dug into the tone that was needed to pull it off. Good job, just watch when you belt the runs because the sound somewhat forced.
Heather D - I would have never thought that you would have picked this song. And I guess the first thing I have to say is, I dont like how the song was presented. Im not sure if its that it was poor production by Steven in chopping up the song, but I would have much preferred the slow build up to the chorus, with maybe a slght kick in the end. Instead you built it nicely, then it jumped to something completely different, and back to the beginning. Nice vocals though.
Muhammed - While there wasnt an awful vocal, you didnt grasp the song at all. There was no flow or spark. You sang it as well as anyone could. Not bad, just average.
Laura - Something seemed slightly off to me. I really cant point on what it is, but it felt as though you were unsure of the direction you used in the first part of the song. Be careful also to control those higher notes. Besides that, great improv, and nice performance. The best of the night so far.
Tracy - It was a really nice song, but the vocals felt a bit standard in themself. It sounded as though you were going for notes and oming up short, therefore making this sound very monotone and emotionless. I still feel you have the best tone of any of the competitors though.
Regina - This was really dead on.. Not much to say. I would have given the immunity to you.
Highlights - I thought that Tracy did a nice job by standing out with an original song. While it really didnt work out, it could help her get through because she stood for who she actually is. At the same time, because she stood out so much, it could be what eliminates her. Regina had a fantastic performance. And Laura brought out some interesting and solid Jazz improv.
Low Points - Tracys vocals didnt shine through as much as the week before, or earlier in the competition. I was also disappointed with Heather R giving yet another just above the radar performance when she is capable of so much more. While at the same time, Muhammed failed to deliver as well.
Bottom 3 - Tracy, Muhammed, Heather R Sould Go - Muhammed Will Go - Tracy

Unfortunately, I received the arrangement that way. ...otherwise, i wouldn't complain about the arrangement in my comments...lol

YEP, MY BAD. I had a difficult time picking out which sections I thought sounded clean after recording in my dads kitchen in Vegas lol. *SIGH* I will not complain, or blame, it was just not really my best week. Thanks for your fair comments Jer, I am starting to look forward to them...

Considering the fact that the only time I followed season 1 was when Ollie bugged me to vote for him, and I only followed season 2 when JD bugged me to vote for him, I was very unsure about how things ran around here. Very rarely do competitions have song limitations anymore. So I wasnt sure if Steven asks for a full song and then cuts it down, or if its left to the competitor.
I was unsure of if people actually read the comments, because comp boards arent as booming as they used to be. But as you know, I do it after all the comps that I follow.

The contestants had an option of sending a whole song which then i chop down (i try my best to do )
Well, unlike Jumoke's and your competition, my competition isn't so focused on the forum. I tried to give it some more exposure before, but more of the focus seems to be at the website and my youtube page.
Well there are like 40 or so views for the comments so that's a considerable amount. I've been trying to do something new for the judges (which may allow their voice to be more easily heard) which i'll most likely present next week or Final 4 week.

Jumokes comp wasnt forum based, we all Just decided to swamp the forum. Honestly, thats the way it should be in all competitions. Because the majority of my favorite online singers arent around much anymore, but I still follow these things. Its basicaly what a lot of Triple I is about now. If you dont want to compete, fine. But that doesnt mean you should disapear.
Mine in strictly forum based because I wanted something new and I have no web building skills. Thats sligtly changed since I now have staff.
Im usually not a big fan of the talent in this competition, but its a solid show. I dont know why you feel the need to end it.

Well I assumed Jumoke's comp was forum-based because that's where more of the focus of the activities were...well that's what i meant by "forum-based"...lol
Hehe...well this season to me has the best talent although we had some fantastic past contestants like Elisha (who placed 3rd in your show), Jeanie (who placed 2nd in your show), Amy (in your 1st season), Joanna McCormick, and etc.
Well I gave you a pretty long explanation why I needed to end it; plus, i have college when i enter in 2008...so with the unpredictability of how things are going to go, I don't want my audience to be disappointed by me failing to meet standards of past seasons. I know it's been severely and unexpectedly successful because of the decline of online comps...but all things come to an end...and I think Jobee will carry the torch with his Sim version of Making The Band...all he needs is to plan out and organize meticulously.

Ill tell you now, dont expect the world, because the reality of the situation is, college is what you make of it. I dont know much about you, but I know a lot of people go into college thinking that they will be swamped with homework half the time, and be at parties the other alf. Believe me, its two completely different worlds there. And while sure, you will go to some great parties the same week as having 3 exams (yeah, I did it too...), ypu will have a lot more free time than you think. Heck, I started Triple I in my Senior year. Its possible.
This would only leave Triple I and WBOTY. So much for saving the community, huh?
But we have both used a lot of similar people. Triple I had : Dean, Amy, Ollie, JD (semi finalist), Jumoke(semi finalist), Jeanie, Gail, Charly, Angela, etc.
